Director, Strategy

Data Associate

We are currently seeking Data Associates, an entry level role that assists with data processing, analysis and reporting for quantitative market research projects. The Data Associate will work with hundreds of primary datasets and learn statistical processes in R. Field Specialist

We are currently seeking a Field Specialist, an entry level role that helps manage data collection for market and opinion research. In this detail-focused role supporting qualitative and quantitative research projects, your efforts will ensure projects are properly timed and executed to meet unequivocal deadlines. We will depend on you to help manage telephone surveys, web surveys, intercept surveys and focus group studies to ensure appropriate research data is collected for analysis.

-Oversee vendor performance by monitoring telephone interviews

-Program online survey questionnaires in Qualtrics

-Proofread and test survey questionnaire programming in Qualtrics and Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) systems

Intern

EMC Research is offering paid, in-person internships for students for Spring 2024, with the opportunity to continue to work in the summer or future semesters.  These positions are available in our Oakland, CA, Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C. office locations.

This is an opportunity to investigate a career in market research, consulting, and polling. We are open to all majors and fields of study, but prefer a candidate who has completed at least two years of college coursework and has an interest in the political process and/or data analytics.

A candidate must be available to work 10 to 18 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.  This is a paid position and candidates do not have to be currently enrolled in school to apply. The intern is expected to be available to work on designated weekdays between the hours of 10am and 6pm (local time).  Some evening hours might be necessary periodically but would be arranged in advance.

EMC Research will pay the intern an hourly minimum wage based on location and placement in one of our three offices:  As of September 2023 that is $15.97 for the City of Oakland, $18.69 for the City of Seattle, and $17.00 for Washington, D.C.
